1. Use ink to adjust the concentration

Soy sauce (also known as gold oil) is a material composed of various components other than pigment in the ink. Therefore, when the concentration is adjusted using the soy sauce, the viscosity will remain unchanged, and only the formulation of the resin and the pigment changes.
The gravure press uses a tempered ink to dilute, in addition to reducing the concentration, it also improves gloss and transparency. However, if a large amount of soy sauce is used in a small amount of ink, it is likely to cause clogging, so care should be taken.

2. Adjust the concentration with a thinner

A thinner (also known as a thinner) is a transparent ink made by replacing the pigment portion of the ink formulation with a so-called “body pigment” – a colorless pigment. Therefore, the use of a thinner to reduce the concentration, the viscosity of the ink remains unchanged, the ratio of pigment to resin can remain substantially unchanged, and will not cause blocking, but often causes the gloss and transparency of the ink to decrease.

3. Add solvent to reduce concentration

This method can maintain a certain ratio of resin and pigment, and the viscosity of the ink will also decrease, but it has a great influence on the printing effect, and is also limited by the dilution viscosity, except for a certain degree of concentration adjustment, An ideal method.
